The operation can be divided into two types: continuous and intermittent. If the pressure reducing process is used for continuous feeding, a flow meter should be installed on the feeding pipeline to control the feeding amount. The flow range depends on the size of the concentration tank container. The feeding height should not exceed the cylinder sight glass for the liquid section inside the tank. But currently, many pharmaceutical factories tend to operate with gaps, which is relatively simple and inefficient, but more convenient to operate. Discharge can only be carried out after the tank returns to normal pressure, so it is intermittent discharge.
The principle of this equipment to achieve concentration is relatively simple, that is, the extract is heated to boil, the water is evaporated, and the foam with effective ingredients in the evaporated secondary steam is separated from the vapor liquid separator in the reflux cylinder to avoid waste. The evaporation intensity is generally 50~60. Due to the structure limitation and easy cleaning, the specific gravity of the concentrated solution should not be greater than 1.2~1.25kg/m2h, otherwise, feeding and cleaning will bring some difficulties.
